About ZArchiver
ZArchiver is an offline file manager for creating, opening, and editing compressed archives on Android. It creates 7z, zip, bz2, gz, xz, lz4, tar, and zst archives, and extracts a wider set including rar and rar5, iso, deb, rpm, dmg, and wim. Archives can be previewed and edited in place — adding or removing files and setting passwords — without a full unpack and repack. Multipart sets such as 7z.001 or part1.rar are detected and processed together. The app requests no internet permission, so all work stays on the device, with multithreading speeding up compression and extraction on modern phones. Practical extras include installing APKs stored inside archives, restoring OBB folders from backups, and UTF-8/UTF-16 filename support for archives shared across languages.
