Where Tether sits in the market Tether is filed under the business category, which places it alongside work-oriented utilities rather than games or media apps. The publisher name and the package identifier both point to a single, consistently branded build, so what you install should match the name and listing you started from. Compatibility in one line The build requires Android 8.0 or newer. Devices running that version or newer devices should accept the package without a compatibility prompt, while anything older will need an operating system update first. Current release details The version currently listed is 1.05, published on 2026-10-03. When checking your installed copy, compare it against that exact string rather than a rounded figure, since the version is the most reliable way to confirm you are running the build described on this page. Storage footprint and file identity The install file is 9.5 MB, so it is a light download that will not strain a device with limited free space. The package name com.tethersecagntd.android is what the installer registers, and it is the reference to use if you need to locate or remove the app later.
