About Philips TV Remote-Wi-Fi & IR
Philips TV Remote-Wi-Fi & IR puts a television controller directly on your handset, letting you drive a Philips set without hunting for a lost remote. It is published by Nova Apps Digital under the package name com.tv.remote.philips and is filed under the productivity category.
Two paths to your TV
The app's name spells out its two connection approaches: Wi-Fi and infrared. That gives you options depending on what your setup allows, so a handset fitted with an infrared blaster and a television reachable over the local network can both be addressed by the same tool. Whichever route your hardware supports, the point is the same one: your phone becomes the device you already have in your pocket when the physical remote is across the room.
A remote that travels with you
Because the controller lives on a phone or tablet rather than on a dedicated piece of plastic, it moves with you. The package is a single compact install, so you are not committing much of your device to it, and it is grouped with productivity tools rather than entertainment apps, reflecting its role as a practical utility you reach for to get a job done.
Install footprint and compatibility
The download is 17.1 MB, a light footprint that leaves plenty of room alongside your everyday apps. The build requires Android 7.0 or newer, and newer devices in that range should also be able to install and run it. The content rating for this listing is listed as unknown, so check it if you are setting the app up for someone else.
A current, maintained build
The latest version of the app is 13.0, dated 2026-10-03, showing continued work on the package rather than a release left to go stale. Each new build carries the same identity through com.tv.remote.philips, so updates land on the existing installation rather than creating a second copy of the remote on your device.

Frequently Asked Questions
What device do I need to install this app?
The build requires Android 7.0 or newer. Handsets and tablets running a more recent release should also be able to install and run it, provided they meet the storage and hardware expectations of a 17.1 MB application. The package name is com.tv.remote.philips, which is what you should look for when confirming you are adding the correct app.
How much space will the app take up?
The download itself is 17.1 MB, which is a modest footprint for a remote-control utility. That figure is the file size of the latest version, 13.0, so you can expect roughly that amount of transfer before installation, plus whatever additional space your device allocates once the app is unpacked onto internal storage.
How does the app talk to my television?
The name indicates two connection methods: Wi-Fi and infrared. This means the app is designed to work whether your television is reachable over your local network or whether your handset carries an infrared blaster, so you are not limited to a single connection path when pairing your phone with a Philips television.
Which version does this listing ship?
The latest version is 13.0, released 2026-10-03. If you already have an earlier build installed, this is the update to expect; it keeps the same package identity, com.tv.remote.philips, so it replaces the existing installation rather than sitting alongside it as a separate app.
Is any content rating shown for this app?
The content rating for this listing is listed as unknown, meaning no rating has been supplied here. If age guidance matters to you, for example when installing on a shared family device, that information is not available in this listing and should be confirmed elsewhere before you decide.
