Frequently Asked Questions
Which version of Messages - Text & SMS am I getting?
The latest build listed for Messages - Text & SMS is version 1.5, published on 2026-10-03 and delivered as a 39.1 MB download. After installing, you can compare the version number shown in your device's app information against 1.5 to confirm that you have the current build rather than an older one.
Will this app run on my device?
The build requires Android 7.0 or newer, so devices running that release or a more recent one should be able to install it. Older devices below that requirement will not be able to run this version. If your phone already carries a newer release of Android, compatibility should not be an issue.
How much storage space does the app need?

Which package name does this app install as?

What category does this app belong to?
Messages - Text & SMS is listed in the communication category, which covers apps centred on staying in touch through text exchanges. The listing does not provide a content rating, so no age guidance figure is available to reference when considering who the app is intended for.
