About Briar
Briar is a communication app published by Briar Project under the package name org.briarproject.briar.android. This listing presents the current build of the app together with the practical details a person needs before installing it, including its size, platform requirement and release build. Device Compatibility The build requires Android 5.0 or newer. If your handset already runs a later release of the platform, it falls comfortably within the supported range, and newer devices are expected to run the app without issue. Anyone running an older firmware image should check their system version before proceeding with an installation. Storage and Install Size The package occupies 48.3 MB of space, so it is worth confirming that your device has room to spare alongside your existing apps, photos and media. That figure describes the download itself rather than any additional data the app may create once you begin using it for conversations. The Current Release The version presented here is 1.5.21, which is the latest build listed for this app. Staying on the current release is the simplest way to keep the software you have installed aligned with what the developer is distributing at this time. Developer and Category Briar sits in the communication category and is maintained by Briar Project, the named developer behind org.briarproject.briar.android. The content rating for this listing is listed as unknown, so families may want to review the app themselves before handing a device to younger users.
