About Brave Nightly
Brave Nightly is the preview channel of Brave's browser, published by Brave Software under the package name com.brave.browser_nightly. It is aimed at people who want to try the build that sits ahead of the ordinary release line rather than wait for it to settle. This page describes version 1.99.13, dated 2026-10-05, filed under the communication category. What the Nightly Label Signals The word nightly tells you this is the testing track rather than the polished, everyday branch. Expect the newest changes to arrive first here, along with the rough edges that come with unfinished work. If you prefer stability over early access, this is probably not the variant you want on your main device. Package Identity and Version The application identifies itself as com.brave.browser_nightly, which is how it installs alongside any other Brave build instead of replacing it. The current build is 1.99.13, released 2026-10-05, and it comes from Brave Software as the listed developer. Keeping that package name in mind matters when you check what is installed or look for updates later. Storage and Compatibility The install file weighs 258.6 MB, so plan for that much space to be free before you begin, and more once the app unpacks itself and caches data. This listing does not state a required Android version, so you should confirm compatibility on your own handset before committing the space. Where It Fits in Communication As a communication entry, the app covers the browsing and messaging-adjacent work that keeps people connected online. Nightly serves users who follow a project closely enough to want its newest ideas in hand, accepting occasional instability in exchange for seeing features before anyone else does.
