About BAND for Kids
BAND for Kids is a communication app published by NAVER Corp. under the package name com.nhn.android.bandkids. It is aimed at younger users who need a straightforward way to stay in touch, and it ships as a single installable build with a sizeable footprint. A communication app for kids The app sits in the communication category, which means its core purpose revolves around exchanging messages and keeping people connected. Because it carries the Kids suffix, the experience is framed for a younger audience rather than a general-purpose workplace or community tool, and the branding makes that intent clear from the moment you see the listing. Install size and device setup The current build is 199.1 MB, so it takes up a meaningful amount of space on a phone and benefits from being installed on a device with generous free storage. This listing does not state a required Android version, so compatibility should be confirmed against your own handset before you commit to the install. Who stands behind the app Development and maintenance are handled by NAVER Corp., an established publisher whose name appears on the listing alongside the identifier com.nhn.android.bandkids. That package name is what your device records, so it is the string to look for if you need to confirm which build is currently installed. The current release The latest version is 30.2.1, dated 2026-10-03. No recent change notes are supplied with this listing, so details about new additions or fixes in that release are not available here.
